GRenSSAP is a research group of primary health care services in Catalonia. This group is made up of a team of researchers from IDIAPJGol and Catalan Institute of Health (ICS). Many of its members participated in the redIAPP network from 2006 to 2024. The aim of the group is research and systematic evaluation of general and specific aspects of the development and function of health services and their relationship with factors affecting health. It is involved in two of three IMPacT programs related to the Precision Medicine infrastructure associated with Science and Technology as IMPacT data and IMPact cohort, leading 6 nodes in Catalonia.
The research group’s lines are: 1) Evaluation of the use of services, programs and interventions in Primary Care (PC); 2) Treatment/Follow-up of the most prevalent chronic diseases in PC: classification of multimorbidity patterns, implications of multimorbidity in health services, long-covid, fibromyalgia, validation and improvement of existing information systems in PC; 3) To evaluate the safety, efficiency and use of new drugs and vaccines through the use of a common national and international data model; 4) Assess the natural history and determinants of multiple diseases/health problems (e.g., cancer, COVID-19, obesity, mental health, etc.) from real-world data analysis and interpretation.
