This group for research into primary health care services in Catalonia is made up of a team of researchers from IDIAP Jordi Gol who have been working on various lines of health service research for serveral years, and participate in important processes of evaluation and innovation in primary health care in Catalonia (evaluation of the objectives of the Catalan Health Service, the impact of electronic guidelines, the role of nurses in the care of acute problems, evaluation of a new model for emergency services, validation of Adjusted Clinical Groups®, etc.). Many of its members participated in the redIAPP network between 2003 and 2006 or in the IRYSS network (Investigation of Results and Health Services: G03/2020). In 2006 it again joined teh redIAPP network. In 2009, it was accredited as an emergent group by the Department of Innovation, Universities and Business of the Catalan Generalitat. The general aim of the group is research into and systematic evaluation of general and specific aspects of the development and function of health services and their relationship with factors affecting health.
